The First Thanksgiving

The Thanksgiving has a lot of significance to the pilgrims who managed to survive in the icy winter. These were the pilgrims who landed on the Plymouth Rock on December in the year 1620.

The pilgrims managed to keep aside food to survive in the biting winter. Consequent to this in the year 1621 they had abundant harvest.
It was at this time that they save even more for the winter season.

The pilgrims believed that it was god who had given them this harvest. So in order to thank god they held their first Thanksgiving feast. This feast was later on considered to be the First Thanksgiving.

The people gradually began celebrating this every year and considered it to be an essential part of their tradition. The people believed the First Thanksgiving to be a day for offering prayers to god for thanking him for his benediction. The First Thanksgiving is an interesting way to get to know how the people first began
celebrating the First Thanksgiving and continue to do so even to this day.

The First Thanksgiving lasted for three days. It was the First Thanksgiving that made people realize that it was god who is the almighty and pray in reverence to receive his grace and blessings. The First Thanksgiving reminds us of the past and how the pilgrims made their living in spite of the hard struggle for food. Keeping all this in mind the First Thanksgiving is a great way of how the tradition of celebrating Thanksgiving continues even to this day. So go back to those days of the past and rejuvenate your spirits this Thanksgiving.
