A whole year spent in solitude can be surpassed by one day of December 25, for it has the great powers just like Jesus. Christmas is the time when we long for wooing our near and dear ones with all their desires fulfilled. | It is the time that teaches us to share. Be it our love for each other or a simple gift or a simple thought, Christmas is the time for all these endeavors. |

Jesus Calms the Storm
Once Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee when He saw two brothers, Simon Peter and his brother Andrew, throwing a net into the sea. They were fishermen. Seeing them do so Jesus just said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Amazingly they right away left their nets and followed Him.
Going ahead, Jesus saw two other brothers, James and John in a boat mending their nets with their father Zebedee. Jesus called the two brothers. They too immediately left the boat and their father, and followed Jesus.
Then, Jesus embarked for a voyage with His disciples. When Jesus got into the boat, He said, “Let’s cross the sea”. He was tired and wanted to sleep. So, his disciples started sailing the boat across the sea. Suddenly a great storm arose on the sea and waves bumped into the boat. Jesus was still asleep. Then His disciples called out to Him "Lord, save us! We are perishing!"

Jesus got up and saw the terrific storm. He raise His hands and said, “Peace! Be still!”. The winds stopped immediately and there was a great calm in the sea. Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith?"
Jesus Feeds Many People
Jesus had many followers. People wanted to hear Him preach and see Him heal. While Jesus was on a mountain, great huge number of people came to Him. There were lame, blind, mute, maimed, and the like. They lay down at Jesus' feet, and He healed them. It was a miraculous sight to see the mute speaking; the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. All this increased the glory of Jesus. They were so much spellbound by His glory that every one forgot to take their supper.
Then a disciple came to Jesus and said, “It’s time to have some food but we have only five loaves and two fish”. Jesus said, "Bring them here to me." Then He commanded the mass to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples. The disciples gave to the multitudes. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained.

In this way Jesus fed 5000 people with only two fish and five loaves of bread!
