Crochet Christmas Crafts

Christmas is the time to indulge in crafts and recipes. Recipes always enjoy an upper hand during the busy festive months but the idea of holiday crafting has been gaining ground over the last few decades. Crochet Christmas crafts are quite a common feature during the holidays as this is the time of the year when the holidays coincides with the festive season rendering every soul ample time to divest in crafting and arts or any leisurely pursuit for that matter.

Before embarking on a crocheting project certain things need to be kept in mind. First and foremost,
Crocheting requires prior training and supervision thus if one is under the impression that its quite an easy thing for a beginner, you are completely wrong. But once you get the hang of it, the patterns would seem easier to execute and implement. The complexity depends on the number of threads being used thus it's better for a novice to practice with one thread at the first go rather than dealing with multiple ones. Crochets look very ornate and pretty if ball covers or ornament covers are made out of them.

Here we are providing a simple procedure for making a Christmas card crochet cover. Materials required are old Christmas cards with pictures, hole punch, colored or white 4 ply worsted weight yarn.

Cut out two pictures from two Christmas cards into either squares or circles of the same size. Put the two pieces back to back so that both the pictures face opposite sides. Using a hole punch, punch holes around the edge of the cards. Join yarn to a hole on the top right side of the card, ch 2, *sc in next hole, ch 1*, repeat * around, join with sl st to beg. ch 1, sl st over to the middle of the card, ch 10, and join in beg. ch (for loop). Your Crochet Christmas mini cards are ready and good to go.
