Folk form of anything represents our roots. Folk art is deeply imbedded into our civilization and forms the basis of our very existence. Be it folklores, folk plays, folk dance or folk songs, folk art relates directly to life with its decodable messages and simple ways of presentation.
It does not apply any metaphor or allegory to explain a situation but gets down straight into our minds to stir an action from us. Christmas folk art connotes an account of the ancestry of this age-old pageant.

Christmas folk art includes endeavors involving nutcrackers, angels, candles and the like that are closely associated with Christmas. For instance here is a method to indulge you in a Christmas folk art by painting nutcrackers:
Things you will need:
Unfinished Wooden Nutcrackers (these can be found in any Christmas craft or gift shop.
Various colored Folk art paint
Two paint brushes
Clear Acrylic water based sealer.
Paper plate.
Steps to paint your Nutcracker in the most easiest and comfortable way are mentioned below. Check out on these suggestions:
First of all paint the hat of Nutcracker in black by holding the nutcracker upside down because painting it in the end can ruin other painted parts due to oozing paint from the top. Leave it for some time to dry.
Then turn right side up and paint the jacket in red. Let it dry.
The underside of the jacket is painted by holding the nutcracker sideways. Let it dry.
Then paint the legs with blue color folk art paint. Let it dry.
Now paint the boots in black and let dry.
Next, it’s time to paint the exposed area that is the hands and the face with skin color folk art paint. Let it dry.
For facial features it would be better to use a pencil. Draw the features well with a pencil and then paint it with the tip of the brush so that it appears to be a thin but dark and prominent lining.
Touch up any final areas.
Let the painted Nutcracker dry for about two hours.
Now apply the sealer, let it dry and cherish your creation with the creative Christmas folk art form.
